Two Day (16 Hour) Outdoor Specific First Aid Course
Our two-day first aid course is aimed at those who work in an outdoor environment and remote areas, where accessing medical assistance may be delayed, or up to a few hours away. This course is perfect for people acting in unsupported outdoor roles such as outdoor instructors, outdoor activity leaders, bushcraft instructors, hiking instructors, DofE assessors etc.
Participants will develop the knowledge and skills required to be able to deal with a wide variety of first aid situations specific to the outdoor environment:
- blood loss
- burns
- cardiac arrest/CPR
- choking
- drowning
- fractures
- head and spinal injuries
- insulating and providing shelter to casualties
- managing multiple casualties
- medical conditions
- temperature extremes
- unconsciousness
- undertaking a head-to-toe survey
- and more
This course is mainly indoors but may involve some outdoor scenarios so participants must bring appropriate clothing for both elements.
Hot drinks will be provided. Participants will need to bring a packed lunch.
Dates: Saturday 7 February - Sunday 8 February 2026
Venue: Adamswell Scout Campsite, Broom Lane, Langton Green, TN3 9JL.

Finish time: 5pm
All cancellations less than 8 weeks before the course and ‘no-shows’ will be charged the full cost of the course.
