Basic Camp Leaders Course

Basic Camp Leaders Course

The Basic Camp Leader Course is an in-house course for the benefit of those schools signing up to the Kent EVOLVE System. 
This course is for staff who are required to lead DofE Expeditions, there are two other courses that staff leading DofE Expeditions must also have:

  •  DofE Supervisor Qualification course
  •  Outdoor First Aid course. Please view our One Day Outdoor First Aid course and our Two Day Outdoor First Aid course.

    Please note the additional requirement for all expeditions to be overseen by somebody with a suitable technical walking qualification.

Venue: Adamswell Scout Campsite, Broom Lane, Langton Green, TN3 9JL
Date: Saturday 14 March 2026
Cost: £100 per delegate.
Times: between 9am and 5pm.

This course will involve working both indoors and outside so delegates should bring appropriate clothing and footwear for the outdoor element.

Please note: Tea and coffee will be provided; however, delegates need to bring food for their lunch that is suitable for cooking on a camp stove, which is NOT non-stick. What they bring will form part of the course content. Stoves, fuel, plates and cutlery will be provided. 

All cancellations less than 8 weeks before the course and ‘no-shows’ will be charged the full cost of the course.
